Dermatological Lasers are devices which emit a single, discrete wavelength of high energy light which is focused to have an effect on the targeted area with little or no effect on the surrounding tissue. At M&T we have 4 main types of lasers available.
Laser
for treatment of moles, warts, skin tags and certain types of tumors
for treatment of hyper pigmented spots such as freckles, melasma, acne scars, age spots, nevi (vascular birthmarks) and tattoos. The procedure results in little to no bleeding and very little discomfort with just scabs noticeable after treatment. Most are able to return to work the next day. The scabs will fall off within 7-10 days.
for the removal of unwanted hairs in areas such as the armpits, mustache, beard and legs. After removal the treated areas appear smooth with no visible scarring. Around 90-100% of the hairs are removed after 4 applications. The latest models will leave the treated areas looking whiter and smoother and is the best method of hair removal available today.
for treatment to delay the appearance of wrinkles and to restore and replenish skin cells damaged from exposure to the sun. The skin will appear smoother, firm and with tighter pores. The laser stimulates the production of collagen deep within the skin layers without leaving any scars or burn marks on the skin’s surface. The procedure takes around 10 minutes after which makeup can be immediately applied.
